5 to join Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame

LAS VEGAS (AP) ? Two former UNLV sports stars, a longtime high school football coach, a late former state Athletic Commission chairman and the Las Vegas Founders Club are the newest inductees in the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.

A ceremony Friday honors Stacey Augmon, one of the stars on the Runnin? Rebels 1990 national championship basketball team. He?s now an assistant coach at UNLV.

Simon Keith is a former UNLV soccer player and heart transplant recipient. His Simon Keith Foundation aims to increase organ donor awareness.

Frank Nails retired in 1997 after coaching football at Rancho, Bishop Gorman, Western and Las Vegas high schools.

Duke Durden was the first black Nevada Athletic Commission member in 1978. He died in 2000.

The Las Vegas Founders Club operates the local PGA Tour stop.
